New Management Training

What is it all about?

New updated training for Managers and Supporters has been introduced, it replaces the old modules 21,23,24,26 with more up to date resources to support you in your role. Its really good!

When does it become effective?

It came in to effect at the end of January 2017.

How will it affect me?

If you started your role after January 2017 you will already be doing the new modules.

If you started your role before January 2017 and have completed your training and have your Wood Badge nothing will change. Do have a look at the new training, its very good and would be useful to you in your role, you can count it as ongoing learning. The link is at the bottom of this page.

If you started your role before January 2017 and haven't completed your Wood Badge you will need to finish all the training and validation before the 30th June 2017. If this isn't viable you will automatically transfer to the new scheme on the 1st July. Any training you have done can be used to validate some of the new training.

What should I do just now?

Log in to Compass and have a look at your PLP for your role, a Wood Badge can't be processed if your First Aid is out of date!

If you only have a small amount to do get in touch with your Training Adviser or ADC Adult Training and see if you can complete everything before 30th June.

If you need any help, have any other questions please get in touch (sooner the better).
